6th CPC have paid no attention to the plight of library staff of different departments. 6CPC recommended a initial pay scale equivalent to 7450-225-11500 for TGT Teachers (including Librarian). But 6CPC recommended a pay scale of 6500-200-10500 for Library Information Assistant for various department libraries .
KEY POINT: QUALIFICATION CRITERIA FOR BOTH POSTS IS DOUBLE GRADUATION i.e. B.A/B.Sc./B.Com + Degree in Library Science.
Justice is required in this case for suffrers.

Mr. Rizvi, you have raised a correct and convincing point. In the 5th pay commission too the same problem cropped and latter by a Govt order it was rectified. Pointing out the same you please write to Swamys news Parsm institute and DOPT rearding the same. Anamoly in Library Staff Pay Scales
I start this blog to get the opinion of library and Information professionals in Govt. of India service. I expect you people to support my effort and take our problems to the appropriate forum to get our problems solved.
It has been found that the central school librarians have got the pay scale of Rs. 9,300 with grade pay of Rs. 4800/-. In the the 5th CPC too the same anomaly was there. At the first instance they have been given Rs. 5500/- scale. the other Departmental librarian got their pay from 5000 to 5,500 only after this anomaly was pointed out. Smimilarly this 6th CPC too has anomaly and it is our duty to point out this anomaly to anomaly committee of your dept.which will be announced in the near future.
